The new version 5 of WinPC-NC will be available from March 2026 and comes with many new functions and a revised operating concept. Of course, all new functions of versions 3 and 4 are also included in version 5.

This update is suitable for all WinPC-NC USB and WinPC-NC NET variants with external ncUSB or ncNET module or USB hardware installed in the machine from versions 2.X, 3.X and 4.X.

The most important innovations at a glance:

Standard-compliant Z-axis, i.e., Z-minus can be set downward and is taken into account in all situations and functions
Custom-assignable buttons and any key combinations for almost all functions
5 different park positions with custom names
10 macros for interactive activation via menu, button, or external input
Up to 3 equivalent sensor inputs, allowing length sensor AND 3D probe AND touchplate to be connected simultaneously and with different logic
Real-time sensor monitoring to prevent collisions, e.g., with the 3D button
Support for barcode scanners for file selection
Axis movement via input signals at the control panel

The update will be provided via download link after ordering, together with installation and changeover instructions. Parallel operation of the previous version and the new version is possible without any problems.

To create your personalised licence, we need the previous 7-digit WinPC-NC serial number of the installation CD and the 5-digit hardware number of the type label. Alternatively, both numbers can be retrieved in the WinPC-NC software under the main menu item Help-About WinPC-NC.
